St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Parish Launches into Cyberspace
CIX!
Dear parishioners and friends,
St. Nicholas Parish is proud to launch this website, a source of information for old and young alike. Over the years, the Basilian Fathers have used various means of communication, the printed word, radio programs and video, to spread God's word to our people. This new website continues in that tradition, providing news and information, upcoming events and interesting articles and links. The number of people with access to the internet, particularly in this parish, is increasing daily. We hope that the site will inspire input from all our organizations and parishioners from every age group.
Our parish has a rich and abundant history, representing over a century of spiritual and human collaboration between the Basilian Fathers, the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate and all the faithful. The Centenary of the parish (1999-2001) has inspired several important projects, among them the parish history: Together for Tomorrow by June Dutka, which is in preparation. Our website brings glimpses of the parish of yesterday and today into your homes. Utilizing one of the newest forms of communication, this site also represents the parish of tomorrow .
As we prepare to mark the Centenary of the Basilians Fathers and the Sisters Servants in Canada, let us all make positive of our website for the glory of God and to the honour of our parish faith community. We invoke His Divine Blessings upon our new endeavor.
